Chakras as levels of personality organization

In the New Psychology of DREVO, chakras are not considered as separate physical organs, but asconditional psychophysiological centers, reflecting different levels of functioning of the body, psyche and consciousness.

Each center combines several interconnected components:

  • parts of the nervous system;
  • endocrine glands;
  • psychological functions;
  • emotional processes;
  • behavioral features;
  • the nature of human interaction with the outside world.

Thus, chakras become not a mystical system, but a convenient model for describing the holistic organization of the personality.

The first chakra is the basis of life.

Main function:survival and safety.

Physiological basis:

  • brain stem;
  • structures responsible for basic reflexes;
  • autonomic nervous system;
  • instincts of self-preservation.

(In popular literature this is often called the "reptilian brain," although modern neuroscience considers this model to be a gross oversimplification.)

Psychological functions:

  • sense of security;
  • need for stability;
  • physical energy;
  • trust in the world;
  • ability to act.
  • In case of violation:
  • fear;
  • panic;
  • a feeling of constant threat;
  • loss of vitality.

The Second Chakra – The World of Emotions

Main function:experiencing life.

Physiological basis:

  • limbic system;
  • hypothalamus;
  • structures of emotional regulation.

Psychological functions:

  • emotions;
  • pleasure;
  • attachment;
  • sexuality;
  • creativity;
  • the ability to feel.
  • In case of violation:
  • emotional instability;
  • dependencies;
  • suppression of feelings;
  • loss of joy.

The third chakra is the center of choice and action.

Main function:self-management.

Physiological basis:

  • prefrontal cortex;
  • executive functions of the brain;
  • decision-making systems.

Psychological functions:

  • In case of violation:
  • indecision;
  • impulsiveness;
  • feeling of powerlessness;
  • loss of discipline.

The Fourth Chakra is the Center of Relationships.

Main function:connection with other people.

Physiological basis:

  • heart;
  • vagus nerve;
  • social attachment systems;
  • oxytocin regulation hormones.

Psychological functions:

  • In case of violation:
  • insulation;
  • insult;
  • inability to trust;
  • emotional closeness.

The Fifth Chakra is the Center of Expression.

Main function:transmission of the inner world.

Physiological basis:

  • speech centers of the brain;
  • respiratory system;
  • vocal apparatus.

Psychological functions:

  • speech;
  • creativity;
  • self-expression;
  • honesty;
  • ability to negotiate.

The Sixth Chakra is the Center of Understanding.

Main function:holistic perception.

Physiological basis:

  • association areas of the cortex;
  • attention networks;
  • information integration.

Psychological functions:

  • intuition;
  • figurative thinking;
  • analysis;
  • strategic vision;
  • self-knowledge.

The Seventh Chakra is the Center of Meaning.

Main function:connection of the individual with higher values.

In the New Psychology of DREVO, this level relates primarily to the philosophy of man.

  • It is related to the questions:
  • Who am I?
  • What do I live for?
  • What is the highest value?
  • What is my purpose?

Physiologically, such experiences are likely associated with the combined work of many parts of the brain responsible for self-awareness, morality, imagination, memory, and the integration of experience.

Biofield and aura

Each level of personality influences the state of the body.

The body creates bioelectrical, biomagnetic, hormonal, behavioral and emotional processes.

The totality of these processes forms the human biofield.

The aura is the external manifestation of this state - how a person is perceived by others through a variety of physiological, psychological and social signals.

The more harmoniously all levels of the personality work, the more integral a person’s presence becomes.

The main principle

In the DREVO model, chakras are not considered as separate physical organs.

They are a map of personality organization, combining the achievements of modern psychology, neuroscience, physiology and philosophy into a single system of human development.

From instinct to emotions. From emotions to reason. From reason to love. From love to self-expression. From self-expression to wisdom. From wisdom to purpose.

This is how the path to development of an integral personality is revealed.

The cerebral cortex as the "antenna of the soul"

The philosophical model of New Psychology DREVO

In the New Psychology DREVO, a person is viewed as a being that exists simultaneously on several levels.

  • The body provides life.
  • The psyche organizes experiences.
  • Consciousness analyzes the surrounding world.
  • Will allows you to choose.

The soul forms an internal moral compass and the ability to experience meaning, love, beauty and conscience.

The spirit sets the direction for the development of the personality and connects a person with that which goes beyond his individual existence.

The question arises:

How does a person's inner world manifest itself through the work of the brain?

The brain as a biological interface

Modern neuroscience shows that the brain is the most complex known organ in the human body.

This is where it happens:

  • perception of information;
  • thinking;
  • planning;
  • speech;
  • memory;
  • creativity;
  • moral choice;
  • self-awareness.

In the DREVO model, the brain is viewed not as the source of all human essence, but asbiological interface, through which mental processes and conscious activity of the individual are manifested.

Why the cerebral cortex?

The most developed part of the human brain is the cerebral cortex.

It is this that ensures higher mental functions:

  • abstract thinking;
  • language;
  • planning;
  • moral assessments;
  • creativity;
  • imagination;
  • the ability to understand another person;
  • long-term forecasting;
  • conscious choice.

The more complex the organization of the cortex, the richer the inner world of a person.

"Antenna of the Soul" as a Philosophical Metaphor

In the philosophical model of DREVO, the cerebral cortex can be represented as"antenna of the soul".

This does not mean that the brain literally receives some external signals from the soul.

This means that it is precisely due to the highly organized nature of the brain that a person is able to perceive and express such phenomena as:

  • conscience;
  • Love;
  • beauty;
  • compassion;
  • sense of justice;
  • search for truth;
  • experiencing the meaning of life;
  • creativity;
  • spiritual experience.

Just as a musical instrument does not create music by itself, but allows music to sound, the brain can be seen as an instrument through which a person's inner world manifests itself in the material world.

Highest social function

As evolution progressed, the cerebral cortex became increasingly specialized not only for individual survival, but also for life in society.

It provides:

  • understanding the intentions of other people;
  • empathy;
  • speech;
  • culture;
  • transfer of knowledge;
  • moral standards;
  • collective thinking;
  • long-term cooperation.

This is why the higher parts of the brain can be considered as the basis of the social nature of man.

They allow a person to go beyond instincts and build a civilization.

From instinct to meaning

In the DREVO model, human development follows the path:

Instinct → Emotions → Reason → Awareness → Love → Wisdom → Purpose → Service.

Each subsequent level requires increasingly complex work of the cerebral cortex.

Therefore, brain development becomes not only a biological process, but also a condition for personality development.

Scientific and philosophical levels

The new psychology of DREVO distinguishes two levels of description.

Scientific levelis based on neuroscience data on the functions of the brain, nervous system and psyche.

Philosophical leveluses the image of the "antenna of the soul" as a model to help understand the connection between biological processes and the human inner world.

This model does not claim to describe an established mechanism of brain function, but serves as a way to integrate scientific knowledge and a philosophical understanding of personality.

The main principle

The richer a person’s inner world develops, the more fully the capabilities of his brain are revealed.

And the broader the capabilities of the brain, the more deeply a person is able to understand himself, other people and his place in the world.

In the New Psychology of DREVO, the brain is viewed not as the source of the soul, but as its most perfect biological instrument, through which a person thinks, loves, creates, collaborates, and creates his or her legacy.

Evolution of personality levels

Evolutionary Model of New Psychology DREVO

In the New Psychology of DREVO, personality is viewed not as something given to a person in a ready-made form, but as a system that gradually unfolds in the process of biological, psychological and social evolution.

  • Different levels of personality were not formed simultaneously.
  • First, life-preserving mechanisms emerged.
  • Then - emotions and attachment.

Later – complex thinking, speech, self-awareness, morality, culture and the ability to live for the future.

Therefore, personal development can be represented as a movement:

from survival to feeling; from feeling to thinking; from thinking to conscious choice; from choice to responsibility; from responsibility to creation and service.

This model is a philosophical and psychological framework. It helps integrate data from evolutionary biology, neuroscience, psychology, and social theory, but it does not imply that each level corresponds to a strictly separate brain region.
